What counts as a long-term car rental in Malta?
Anything from one month upwards. Daily and weekly hire is a different product with a different price — from 28 days we switch you to a monthly rate that is typically 50–70% cheaper per day, and we fold insurance, servicing, road licence and roadside assistance into that one figure.
Do I need a deposit?
A refundable security deposit of €300 applies on the Flexi Month plan. On Season, Half Year and Annual plans the deposit is waived when the first month is paid by direct debit or card on file. The deposit is returned within ten working days of the car coming back in the agreed condition.
Which driving licences do you accept?
A full EU or EEA licence, a UK licence, or any national licence held for at least two years accompanied by an International Driving Permit. The licence must have been held for 24 months and the main driver must be 23 or over (21 for the City & economy category, with a young-driver surcharge).
How quickly can I get a car?
Most rentals are approved within one working day of receiving your documents, and we deliver the next working day. If you are landing at Malta International Airport we can meet you at arrivals with the car, provided you book at least 48 hours ahead.
Is insurance really included?
Yes. Every rental includes fully comprehensive insurance with collision damage waiver and theft protection, valid across Malta and Gozo. The standard excess is €700; you can reduce it to zero for €25 a month. You are named on our fleet policy, so there is nothing for you to arrange.

Long term car rental in Malta, explained
We rent cars by the month to people living and working on the islands — not by the day to holidaymakers. From 28 days upwards we move you off tourist pricing and onto a monthly rate that folds comprehensive insurance, every service, the road licence, the VRT test and 24/7 island-wide roadside assistance into one figure.
Who it is for
Most of our renters are on a fixed-term footing: a one- or two-year iGaming or tech contract in St Julian's, a teaching post, a construction or film project, a semester at the University of Malta in Msida, or a relocation where buying a car in the first month makes no sense. It also suits residents between cars, families needing a second vehicle for the school run, and anyone whose own car is off the road after an accident.
Delivery across Malta and Gozo
We deliver free to any address in Malta — Sliema, St Julian's, Valletta, Birkirkara, Mosta, St Paul's Bay, the south and the west — and to Gozo on the first ferry. Airport hand-over at Luqa is included on Annual rentals and available on every other plan.
Insurance and the paperwork
Every vehicle sits on our fleet policy with fully comprehensive cover, collision damage waiver and theft protection, valid on both islands. Standard excess is €700 and can be reduced to nil. The road licence and VRT are renewed by us, on time, without you being asked for anything.
Long-term rental is a service contract, not a credit agreement. There is no hire purchase, no balloon payment, no option to buy the car at the end, and nothing is reported to a credit file.
